Spam: Email garbage. Originally, spam referred to commercial advertising that was sent to a lot of people. Now Spamming is the term also used to mean sending junk e-mail such as jokes, hoaxes, urban legends, etc. to many people at once. You should never e-mail this type of message to people you do not know. File Extension: A string of letters at the end of a file name that identify the file type. For example, hello.doc - .doc is the file extension. It explains the the file type. .exe is an executable file – meaning it does something. SCR stands for script and .vbs stands for visual basic, which is a programming language.
