Map Requirements

                      Europe Map

Yugoslavia and Serbia are one and the same.

Color and draw borders for only the
countries that are listed on the Rubric.

Complete the lines that were cut off when the map was copied.

All countries in Africa and Asia should be colored a neutral color.

Don't forget the captials of the countires that are not circled.
                      Map Requirements
KEY~~Only put 11 items in the Key.
Use numbers 1-11 to indicate the location. One of the 11 items should be a K for Kosov.
      DO NOT PUT A BOX AROUND THE KEY
Never color a country blue.
Never color a country purple if it borders water.
Never color countries that border each other the same color.
Color in one direction.
Choose a neutral color to color the continents that are not being studied at this time.
Don't use arrows or long lines indicating the locations of countries or capitals.
Only label items that are listed on the Rubric.
Use a Black Ultra-Fine Point Felt Tip Pen for labeling borders, countries and capitals.
The pen width should match the borders of the continent. The pen width should not be broader than the lines already on the map.
Use a Blue Ultra-Fine Point Felt Tip Pen for labeling rivers and lakes.
Erase all pencil marks.
Turn in the map
when you walk in
on the day it is due.

                

Step by Step
Step 1
  Draw the borders in pencil. I suggest using dots at first. Dots are easier to erase.
Step 2
  Lightly put the first letter of the country in the middle of each country. (See STEP 7).
Step 3
  Connect the dots to draw the borders. Use a Black Ultra-Fine Point Felt Tip Pen.
Step 4
  Erase the pencil marks along the borders.
Step 5
  Draw in the rivers that are listed on the Rubric with a Blue Ultra-Fine Point Felt Tip Pen.
Step 6
  Label the major cities, capitals, geographic features, rivers and oceans. If necessary, plan for the 10 items that you will put in your key.
Step 7
  Erase the first letter of the country and replace it with the name of the country.
