1. Install virus protection software on
your
computer and USE it.
2. Don't open e-mails
if you don't know who they are from.

3. Beware of e-mail which has been forwarded “FW:”
or has an attachment with the suffix of .exe,
.scr, or .vbs.
- these can mean a virus is present.
4. If you do want to open an attachment, scan it through
the virus software first. Sometimes even your
friends can pass on viruses unintentionally. To do this, save
the attachment before opening it, and scan.
5.
Viruses can also spread if using an “infected” floppy
disc in a computer. To find out more about viruses you can go to www.ciac.org
where information on viruses, hoaxes, and chain letters is posted.
6.
The best way to prevent viruses is to buy anti-Virus Software
and USE IT!
